Welcome to the Home Page for the Southwest Forest Service AMIGOS! The purpose of this web page is to provide information for and about Amigos members, maintain friendships made over the years, and provide information on activities of the organization. This page will be updated periodically as new information is available.
The AMIGOS have agreed to work with the Forest Service Albuquerque Service Center--Human Resource Management unit in providing all new Forest Service retirees a link to other regional retiree groups. Please check out the Retiree Organization Contacts page for a list of other retiree groups around the country.
The AMIGOS are also proud to support the effort to build and establish the National Museum of Forest Service History, to be built in Missoula, MT. The Forest Service is an agency rich in tradition and culture. The National Museum's goal is preserve this history for the future. The AMIGOS webpage now has A Look Back in History page that will provide a link to the National Museum and the current efforts there and will highlight a look back in time to the Forest Service's early days.
